The Regional Reception Centre (also known as RRC) is located on the same property as Archambault Institution. The Regional Reception Centre was built in 1973 and serves as an assessment unit which can accommodate upto 288 adult male offenders. An assessment unit is where most inmates will spend between 3 to 6 months being evaluated until being sent to the institution where they will serve most of their time.

Do I need to be on an Incarcerated person’s visitors list?

Yes, visiting application form must be filled out. If there are children visiting then a child waiver application must be filled out for the child as well.

How can I schedule a visit?

Visits must be booked at least 24 hours prior to visitation, between 9:30 and 11:30 and 1:30 and 3:30PM.

Visitation Information:

Length of visit: You can stay for the entire duration of the visit between 9:30AM until 12:00PM and 1:00PM until 3:30PM.

Number of visits per week: An inmate can have up to 5 visits per month.

Number of visitors per visit: Up to 3 adults.
