It does not guarantee the inmate will be released but it does give the inmate an opportunity to show that they have changed and are not a threat to the community. CIFF Consulting has prepared a list of some of the most frequently asked questions.<br \/>\nPreparation is the key to a successful Parole Hearing and each Parole Hearing is different and the questions are going to be different. However, this list is a great start.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional questions you should expect at a hearing:<\/strong><br \/>\nThese questions may not appear in this order at your hearing &#8211; and there can\/will be others as outlined in Part 1!!<\/p>\n<p>\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Why should we give you parole?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Do you feel remorse?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What guarantees do we get that you won\u2019t re-offend?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Why are you in prison?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What led you to this crime?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What support systems do you have in the community?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What are your options?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What makes you think you can cope in the community?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Where do you plan to live?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What will you do if you are not allowed to go back to your hometown?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What is a halfway house going to do for you?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Why did you pick the halfway house you picked?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Can you explain your institutional charges?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What program(s) have you taken?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     How did these program(s) benefit you?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     How do you apply what you learnt in program(s)?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Did you learn anything about yourself by being in an institution?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Do you consider yourself a criminal? (Are you proud of it?)<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     How do you think your victims feel about your offence?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What have you done to address the need areas in your correctional plan?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     What would you do if the same situation occurred again?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Have you addressed the issues that caused you to offend?<br \/>\n\udbc0\udcbe\uf020     Do you think the sentence you received fits your crime ?<\/p>\n<p>You need to take the time to think about these questions and consider your answers. It is very important that you do not only think about them in the interest of answering the Parole Board, but more importantly think about them for yourself.<br \/>\na)     How have you addressed the issues in your life?<br \/>\nb)     Are you \u201cokay\u201d with how things are going in your life?<br \/>\nc)     Are you committed to staying out of prison and how are you going to do it?<br \/>\nd)     Really take the time to re-evaluate your world and how you are approaching it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Part 2 &#8211; List of questions the parole board can\/will ask to determine suitability for release.
